10 years of alfalfa cropping improve soil porosity, microbial diversity and soil carbon content in saline soils of the Songnen Plain (Fungi)

The saline and alkaline area of the Songnen Plain is one of the obstacle soil types that urgently need to be improved and remedied in the northeastern part of China. The key to improve saline soil is to reduce soil salinity. Alfalfa as a leguminous pasture is the most ideal phytoremediation material.
