资源简介:
The dataset used in this analysis comes from the Maternal and Newborn Health (MNH) eCohort study conducted in Ethiopia, Kenya, and South Africa. It is a longitudinal dataset designed to assess the quality, continuity, and experiences of maternal healthcare across the care continuum. Women were enrolled face-to-face during their first antenatal care (ANC) visit at selected public and private health facilities and followed through phone interviews during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period. The cohort includes pregnant women aged 15 years and older who planned to continue care in the same area and had not yet received ANC from a skilled provider. The primary exposure variable is age group, comparing adolescents (15–19 years) to adult women (20 years and above). Data were collected using structured interviews at enrollment and during follow-up, capturing clinical care, health system interactions, and maternal outcomes. The dataset offers rich information for examining adolescent versus adult maternal care experiences and outcomes in low-resource settings, and can support research on health system performance, equity, and maternal health policy.
