Data set on the role of youngsters in prompting civic engagement in Indonesia

An online survey of youngsters between the ages of 12 to 17 (n=200) was conducted after the Indonesian Presidential elections (April 2019) to investigate the activities that may have an association between civic engagement and political participation. The primary subject of this to prepare a data article on the response of Indonesian young generation on civic participation in political activities. Quantitative research design has opted and the targeted population is the university students. The data were collected through online questionnaires from 200 respondents in Indonesian universities. The present data arranged in tables, frequencies, and percentages. The finding shows a positive relationship between Indonesian youngsters in increasing civic participation in society. There is a wider range of activities that enhanced their engagement in social activities and it changed the youth perception in public.
