Average electricity prices in Brazil 2013-2022

In 2022, the end-user electricity consumption rate in Brazil averaged 637 Brazilian reals per megawatt-hour, an increase of roughly five percent in comparison to the previous year and the highest figure reported during the period in consideration. When compared to 2013, the average electricity price in the South American country has more than doubled. The northern region of Brazil had the highest electricity rate that year.
