The study examines the effects of liraglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist, on oxidative stress and ferroptosis-related indicators in obese rats. The rats were divided into five groups, and after a high-fat diet, liraglutide was administered subcutaneously for 28 days. Results showed that liraglutide reversed the reduction of antioxidant and ferroptosis-regulatory markers in obese rats, suggesting it may have cytoprotective effects and potentially treat obesity-associated oxidative stress and ferroptosis.
