Hot days are associated with short-term adrenocortical responses in a southern African arid-zone passerine bird: dataset

Data ('Data set.csv') and associated metadata ('DataMeta.csv') underlying the publication "Hot days are associated with short-term adrenocortical responses in a southern African arid-zone passerine bird" in the Journal of Experimental Biology (doi:10.1242/jeb.242535).
Data include details of glucocorticoid metabolite concentrations in Southern Pied Babbler feces, collected from a free-ranging population of these birds at Kuruman River Reserve in the Northern Cape, South Africa, in 2018 and 2019. Data also include information on the dates and time feces were collected and frozen, air temperatures recorded on the day of collection and the day prior, and the identity of the individual birds from which the feces were collected, including their social group membership, dominance status, sex, social group size and breeding status.
