Methanotroph-methylotroph enrichment Raw sequence reads

An enrichment co-culture consisting of a methanotroph (Methylobacter sp.) and methylotroph (Methylotenera sp.) isolated from a freshwater lake (Lacamas Lake, WA, USA) was grown under different methane concentrations, temperatures, and salinities to test how methanotrophs adjusted their membrane lipid composition in response to environmental stress. A subset of samples was extracted for DNA and sequenced to confirm that Methylobacter sp. and Methylotenera sp. were the primary bacteria present in the enrichment culture and to test whether there were changes in the microbial composition under different incubation conditions.
