Wood density of trees in savannas of the northern Brazilian Amazon

The file contains the wood density values (g cm-3), classes of diameter (cm), geographical position (UTM) and altitude (meters above sea level) of eight typical savanna tree species found in Roraima, northern Brazilian Amazonia (225 wood samples). Wood density values were estimated taking into account the oven dry mass (g) divided by fresh volume (cm3) of samples derived from three classes of diameter (1-5 cm = twigs; 5-10 cm = branches; > 10 cm = main stem).
