K. pneumoniae ZY309 is a highly viscous and drug-resistant strain isolated from a patient. MLST typing of the sequence of ZY309 using the software mlst v2.23.0 resulted in ST11.Notably, sanger sequence revealed the presence of a reservoir of novel Tigecycline resistance efflux pump tmexCD-toprJ1 which confers its Tigecycline resistance. Also, the efflux pump gene is present on the splicable plasmid. Thus, we applied WGS to investigate the strcture of chromosome and plasmids of ZY309 .
