Predatory publications are increasing in scholarly communications. These publishers use questionable business practices, minimal or no peer review and/or limited editorial oversight to publish journals that are below a minimally accepted standard of quality. These publications have potential to alter the results of knowledge syntheses.The objective of this project was to determine if papers published by a major predatory publisher in the health and biomedical sciences were cited in systematic reviews.
