The distribution of nitrogen and chloride in the soil profile for 1
year was studied. NH4-N in N fertilizer was absorbed in the surface
soil and remained within a depth 10 cm. NO3, nitrified nitrogen, moved
downward.
The profiles of distribution were different between NO3 and Cl in 1.5
months after fertilization. After then, the difference became smaller.
The movement of NO3 and Cl was related to soil physical property. The
movement was very slow at a depth of below 40 cm. The distribution
curve of N and Cl in soil profile was fitted with Poisson
distribution. The movement of N applied in NO3-N can be estimated by
that of chloride.
The input data capacity of latitude and longitude values are limited
only to degrees.
