TRYING TO FOSTER MY STUDENTS: ANALYTICAL AND HORTATORY EXPOSITION

This document seeks to aid students in studying analytical exposition and hortatory exposition text using collaborative teaching and learning media with code-switching and mixing. The assumption is that students of English language classes are non-native speakers with various and complex English language learning experiences at an introductory level. Besides that, students represent a multi-demography area in the east Indonesia region, with the most background landscape being the archipelago. Furthermore, half of the students emerge from remote areas at the elementary, middle, and high school levels [remoteness can be inferred from resources, teaching experience, and remote areas, viz.]. As a student telling the story of beginning an English course this semester; Therefore, reading and video literacy media were introduced to increase their motivation and willingness to participate in English classes.
