Dicer was discovered as a target of ERK phosphorylation in Arur et al., 2009, PNAS study. To understand the impact of this phosphorylation on small RNA populations, transgenic lines of Dicer (WT), and constitutively phosphorylated or unphosphorylated Dicer in an otherwise dicer knock out background, were assayed for their small RNA profiles.
