Communications, media and internet concentration in Chile, 2019-2021 - Dataset

This report investigates media developments and market concentration trends across nearly two dozen communication, internet, and media industries that make up the Chilean network media economy. It begins by examining each covered sector individually before categorizing them into three broader mid-range categories: telecoms and internet access sectors, online and traditional media services, and core internet sectors. The report offers a comprehensive overview of the network media economy from 2019 to 2021. In a country where research on media ownership has been scattered, the aim of this report is to simultaneously analyze specific media sectors to understand their unique characteristics, dynamics, and trends and to gain insight into the general structure of the sector in Chile.
