Urban Biodiversity Parks Citizen Survey

The data were collected as a part of the Urban Biodiversity Parks (UBP) project. The project is funded by European Union’s European Urban Initiative - Innovative Actions (EUI-IA) funding programme. The survey was conducted in two distinct neighbourhoods in the city of Turku (Jyrkkälä and Halinen). The data were collected between 15.9.-31.10.2024. The survey assessed residents’ wishes for developing nature-based solutions in Halinen and Jyrkkälä, how they perceive local community dynamics, and what kinds of participatory nature management activities residents would be interested in.

The dataset includes both tabular (Excel) and spatial (geodatabase) data. The spatial data set contains mapped green infrastructure and outdoor recreation sites where respondents engage in distinct activities. The coordinate system of the spatial dataset is WGS1984.
