A Dataset of Physicochemical and Microbial Properties of Degraded Soils in Alpine Grasslands

This dataset contains soil physicochemical and microbial properties from alpine grasslands across four sampling sites on the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau. Soil samples were collected along different grassland degradation stages, including non-degraded, lightly degraded, moderately degraded, and heavily degraded grasslands. The dataset includes key soil physicochemical variables (e.g., soil organic carbon, total nitrogen, pH, soil moisture, and other environmental parameters) as well as microbial-related indicators, particularly microbial-derived carbon. These data provide valuable information for understanding the relationships between grassland degradation, soil properties, and microbial carbon dynamics in alpine ecosystems of the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau.
