Whole genome shotgun (WGS) sequencing of Drosophila persimilis. Drosophila persimilis

The Drosophila persimilis genome was sequenced to 4-fold coverage by the Broad Institute. The Drosophila persimilis WGS project has the project accession AAIZ00000000. This version of the project (01) has the accession number AAIZ01000000, and consists of sequences AAIZ01000001-AAIZ01026813. The D. persimilis genome was assembled with the ARACHNE4.5 assembler. The assembly was annotated using several automated gene prediction programs, and the results were combined into a consensus GLEAN set (Drosophila 12 Genomes Consortium 2007). The assembly and annotation can be viewed in the FlyBase Genome Browser.
