<p>The database contains an information about sum of base cations, exchangeable aluminium, cation exchangea capacity, effective cation exchange capacity, base saturation and effective base saturation in around 1560 samples (horizons) of soil existing in various climate zones, mainly in the Southern Hemisphere, developed from various parent materials and classified to various reference groups according to WRB classification (2022), published in scientific journal and other peer-reviewed reports. The clay content, soil organic carbon and soil pH were added to allow melti-purpose analysis and driving of padotransfer functions. The reference soil group, if missing in the original report, was  established based on th e other provided classifications (e.g., Soil Taxonomy) and morphological and physicochemical data. <br /></p>
