Isotretinoin E-Visits Workflow Supplemental Figure

In this study we hypothesized that asynchronous e-visits for isotretinoin could reduce interruptions in care. However, we found that e-visits had a similar interruption rate to synchronous video visits and in-person visits for isotretinoin. Upon further chart review review, we found that reminders were not consistently sent instructing patients to complete e-visits during the study period. This figure describes the workflow for isotretinoin e-visit during our study period (October 2019 – March 2021) and after the new process change (instituted in July 2021).
