Reliability and validity of Chinese version of Factors Influencing Adherence to Standard Precautions the scale

Objective To provide a novel and reliable assessment tool for staff nurses by sinicizing and testing the reliability and validity of the Factors Influencing Adherence to Standard Precautions scale（FIASPS）Methods Sinicization of the scale: After getting the authorization of the source scale author, the scale was translated, translated back and adjusted across cultures to form a provisional Chinese version. From November to December 2023, easily selected 380 registered nurses from tertiary hospitals in Shenzhen and Luoyang were selected to fill out the provisional scale, and SPSS22.0 statistical software was used to test the reliability and validity of the scale. Finally, the Chinese version of the standard preventive behavior compliance scale was formed.Results There were five dimensions and 29 items in Chinese FIASPS. The content validity at the item level was between 0.8-1.0, and the content validity at the scale level was 0.958. After exploratory factor analysis, obtained five common factors,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 67.971%. The scale's total Cronbach,s α coefficient was 0.853, and the Cronbach,s α coefficients of the five dimensions were 0.925, 0.852, 0.883, 0.812, and 0.918, respectively.The retest reliability is 0.964,and the split-half reliability is 0.899. Conclusion The Chinese version of FIASPS has nice reliability and validity and is suitable for RN in China.
