Number of cyclists killed in France 2019, by age group and road environment

Cyclist fatalities were much more frequent on country roads in France in 2019. Furthermore, the number of fatal accidents among the French cyclists seemed to increase with age. The majority of cyclists killed on the French roads were aged 55 years and older in 2019. Besides, 55-64 years was the age range that recorded the most number of cyclist fatalities. 47 cyclists belonging to this age group indeed died in 2019.
