Translation and interpreting (T&I) pedagogy confronts an unprecedented crisis: while the language industry generates billions in revenue, systematic digital exclusion affects over 1.2 billion speakers across major world languages, yet educational frameworks remain silent on this structural injustice. This study introduces the Digital Language Inequality Index (DLII), a novel pedagogical framework that transforms T&I education from competency-based training to values-driven practice.
