资源简介:
1. R code file for analyses in Short et al.
2. zipped folder that includes all data files necessary to recreate our work.
a. "continents" is a shapefile of continental polygons, excluding Antarctica.
b. "geography" is a shapefile of species ranges from IUCN. This file has been restricted to extant (presence = 1), native or reintroduced (origin = 1 | 2), Carnivora (family = Carnivora) and Artiodactyla (family = Cetartiodactyla). This file contains an extra column (MSWbinom) to relate the IUCN taxonomy to the the Mammal Species of the World taxonomy used in the trait data.
c. "points" is a csv file of global 50 km points that contains Matthews vegetation cover at each point.
d. "traits" is a csv file of gear ratio measures.
e. "traits_fulldata" is a csv file of the raw data used to calculate species-level gear ratio values. This file is not referenced in the code.
f. "fossils_ecometrics" is a csv file with community-level trait data for five fossil sites from Neotoma Database.
f. "o", "oArt", and "oCarn" are spatial objects that can be read in by the code. These files contain the species lists at each sampling point.
g. "metadata" is an Excel file that includes details about the data in "points," "traits," and "fossils_ecometrics."
