Genetic pattern and diversity of Barbatia virescens: a RAD-seq analysis of five geographically distributed populations

This study focuses on Barbatia virescens (green ark shell) distributed along the coastal waters of China. By adopting reduced-representation genome sequencing techniques , we obtained genome-wide polymorphic markers such as SNPs through high-throughput sequencing. We further analyzed the population genetic structure and genetic diversity level of this species, explored the impacts of geographical isolation, marine environmental factors and other elements on its genetic differentiation, and provided theoretical support for the conservation and sustainable utilization of Barbatia virescens resources.
