Industrial waste volume in Russia 2009-2019

The highest volume of industrial waste in Russia was recorded in 2019 at nearly 7.8 billion metric tons. The figure steadily increased since 2015, when Russian enterprises produced 5.1 billion metric tons per year. The country's coal mining industry accounted for the largest portion of industrial waste.
