资源简介:
This is a version of the global unconsolidated sediment database (GUM) found in the following publication: Börker, J., Hartmann, J., Amann, T., & Romero‐Mujalli, G. (2018). Terrestrial sediments of the earth: development of a global unconsolidated sediments map database (GUM). Geochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, 19(4), 997-1024. https://doi.org/10.1002/2017GC007273
The original dataset is available in PANGEA (https://doi.org/10.1594/PANGAEA.884822).
This version has manual gap-filling applied. It was developed for NASA's EMIT mission to the International Space Station, and is used in translating mineral detections into a form useful for Earth system models that simulate global dust emission processes.
EMIT was sponsored by the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Earth Science Division. A portion of the research was carried out at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, under a contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (80NM0018D0004).
