资源简介:
This collection consists of images, a spreadsheet, GIS and site record data from an archaeological evaluation by Cotswold Archaeology. The work occurred at the former Sunny Nook Farm, Harworth, Nottinghamshire, now known as Mulberry Logistics Park, Doncaster, Phase 2, in July 2023.Only very limited archaeological evidence was encountered during the fieldwork. The mostly poor correlation between anomalies identified by the geophysical survey and the trenching results may be explained through the effects of modern ploughing, with the geophysical survey possibly identifying shadows of ploughed-out features which no longer survived as discrete sub-surface features, along with extensive modern wheel rutting and plough scars. In contrast, other feature fills appeared to lack sufficient magnetic contrast with the surrounding geology to have been identified.
