资源简介:
Herein lies ZIP files containing subroutines and particle input files to reproduce data presented in Zrelak et al (2025): The role of basal roughness and assemblage grain-size distribution in shaping granular rheology and basal-force signals submitted to JGR: Earth Surface. Also included is a video 'S2_0.25ms.mp4' giving a rendering of type S2 simulations with force-chain visualization. This repository is organized as follows: the file 'S1.zip' contains directories relating to the simulations where we vary the basal roughness, and contains child directories 'disordered' and 'ordered', where these directores contain the near-monodipserse assemblages with bottom plates of disparate roughnesses. Within these directories are sub-directories that contain the subroutines and particle input files necesary to build and run the MFiX-DEM solvers, with each directory representing a different prescribed top-plate shearing velocity. Similarly, the file 'S2.zip' contains parent directories that contain the necessary subroutines and input files for simulations where the assemblage grain-size distribution is varied. Again, within are child directories for the disparate shear-rates.  MFiX-DEM is an open-source software hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy and can be downloaded using the following url: https://mfix.netl.doe.gov. Note that a user must register at https://mfix.netl.doe.gov/register/ prior to downloading the software.
