Our project provides long and short read genome sequences, assembly and functional predictions for Penicillium sclerotiorum SNB-CN111 and Neonectria discophora SNB-CN63. Penicillium sclerotiorum was isolated from Nasutitermes similis from French Guiana. Neonectria discophora was isolated from Nasutitermes corniger from French Guiana.

Penicillium sclerotiorum SNB-CN111 was isolated from Nasutitermes similis from French Guiana produces several azaphilones, the majority of which are chlorinated. We used short and long read genomic sequencing and hybrid assembly to identify the enzyme responsible for chlorination and to understand azaphilone biosynthesis. We provide an annotated biosynthesis gene cluster responsible for the azaphilones production.Neonectria discophora SNB-CN111 was isolated from Nasutitermes corniger from French Guiana and it produces several ilicicolins, the majority of which are chlorinated. Using the same strategy, we provide an annotated biosynthesis gene cluster responsible for the ilicicolins production.
