Data and code for "Extended parental care is critical for migration and survival in a family-living bird"

This Zenodo entry contains data and code for "Extended parental care is critical for migration and survival in a family-living bird".

"Linssen_2025_extendedparentalcare_data.RData" provides the necessary data and two custom functions, and can be opened directly into the R environment."Linssen_2025_extendedparentalcare_script.R" provides the script which can be run, once the data is loaded, to reproduce the results.

"tracks.csv", "pairs_familial.csv", "pairs_familial_add_reunions.csv", "tracks_juvenile_comparison" and "juvenile_survival.csv" are the .csv versions of the data tables in "Linssen_2025_extendedparentalcare_data.RData".These files are not needed to run the analysis (as the .RData file already includes them), but they are included to ensure long-term reproducibility across platforms.
