Ganfeborole is a new mycobactericidal molecule. In a phase 2a trial, ganfeborole exhibits better antitubercular activity and admissible safety profile, indicative of a potential candidate for combined therapy of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB). However, up to now, ganfeborole-resistant mechanisms is largely unknown. In this study, we firstly identified ganfeborole-resistant Mtb strains via whole genome sequencing (WGS). Nearly 2400 ganfeborole-resistant mutants were selected. 68 isolates were randomly picked for further analysis.
