This sequence has been generated from a field isolate of Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis recovered from a white cattle in Tamil Nadu, India. Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP) is a bacteria which causes Johne’s disease (an inflammatory Bowel Disease very like CD) in cows. We plan to develop a modern vaccine against MAP, designed to treat CD targeting any specific immune gene. Whole genome sequencing facilitates the pathogenicity and immunogenicity study of MAP.Now, we sequenced 4,800,000bp of the Complete MAP whole genome sequence in Illumina Miseq platform with the reference sequence of StrK-10. MAP sequence showed 87% similarity scores occur with K-10 strain and 75% similarity with Egypt strain. We target to analysis the data to find the unique immune genes and evolution of microorganism.
