资源简介:
This dataset contains elicited possessive and verbal subject-marking paradigms from As, recorded with Hamid Mayor (born 1959), a native speaker of As. The possessed nouns in the possessive paradigms are 'canoe', 'fish', 'grandchild', 'head', and 'eye'; the verbs in the subject-marking paradigms are 'to ascend', 'to follow', 'to eat', and 'to hear'. The session was recorded on 11 January 2020, in Asbaken village (Southwest Papua province, Indonesia). The recording of this session is split across two audio files, ASZ004-01 and ASZ004-02. There is some background noise from the generator. The dataset relates to the Postdoctoral Fellowship 'Synchronic and diachronic investigations in Raja Ampat-South Halmahera, a little-known subbranch of Austronesian' (PF19\100004); additional fieldwork funds were provided by a Moray Endowment Grant from the University of Edinburgh. Further deposits are available in the related DataShare sub-community (https://datashare.ed.ac.uk/handle/10283/8573).
