This presents a carefully selected suite of 30 strong-motion records for different soil site classes and seismic zones as the target spectrum developed to support response history analysis within the framework of Indian seismic design practice. The ground motions are derived from a comprehensive global database comprising approximately 15.47 lakh recorded earthquake records. Using the design spectra specified in IS 1893 (Part 1): 2025 as target spectra for different soil site classes and seismic zones, the records are selected through a period-specific approach. The target spectrum is divided into ten natural period bins, and three ground motions are chosen in each bin by minimising the spectral mean square error. Each record includes three components and is appropriately scaled to achieve spectrum compatibility while preserving realistic frequency content, making the suite suitable for performance-based seismic assessment.
