资源简介:
This dataset corresponds to the Hron–Turek fluid–structure interaction (FSI) benchmark case.
The case represents turbulent flow around an elastic cantilever beam mounted inside a channel, simulated using a Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) approach instead of the original laminar formulation. It captures the coupling between an incompressible fluid and a flexible solid structure, where unsteady flow induces structural deformation and the structural response in turn modifies the flow field. The configuration is based on the well-established benchmark proposed by Stefan Turek and Jaroslav Hron for validating FSI solvers and numerical coupling strategies.
Such configurations are representative of flow-induced vibration problems and are widely used in applications including offshore and civil engineering (e.g. flow past flexible structures), heat exchanger tube dynamics, aeroelasticity, and vibration analysis of slender structures subjected to turbulent flow. The case is particularly useful for assessing turbulence modelling effects in FSI simulations and for benchmarking numerical methods under more realistic flow conditions.
This dataset contains CFD simulation results provided in OpenFOAM format, suitable for direct use in ParaView. The dataset can be used for visualisation, post-processing, benchmarking, and training purposes.
