These cards record details of patient admissions and discharges at the Newcastle Reception House, later known as Newcastle Admission Centre.Each card records: name, sex, age, social condition, children, occupation, nativity and religion. On each card is a table which, for each admission and discharge, records the following details: date, mode (e.g. Schedule 2, personal request, police request, discharged, transferred to), doctors' names (if certified), and register number.
