The non-orthogonality of vector magnetometer and the deviation of installation matrix are important causes of high precision vector magnetic field measurement error, and its calibration technology needs to be further improved. In this paper, a high-precision calibration device composed of a self-developed large-space magnetic shielding chamber, a torque free calibration coil and a high-precision non-magnetic turntable is used to carry out a research on the ground calibration and testing technology of high-precision magnetometer, focusing on the calibration technology of the magnetometer orthogonality and installation matrix. Based on the “thin shell” calibration method, by scanning the constant vector magnetic field, The minimum transfer of mechanical shaft coupling is realized, and the conversion error is effectively reduced. By fitting the direct measurement data to calculate the conversion parameters, the optimal attitude installation matrix of the sensor under experimental conditions is obtained, and the calibration accuracy reaches 0.0058°, which is an order of magnitude better than the previous results. The calibration technique greatly improves the measurement error caused by the installation Angle deviation in vector magnetic field measurement.
