A survey dataset on the attitudes and consumption intentions of Chinese residents towards alternative protein foods under the perspective of big food

Against the backdrop of the global food security and malnutrition crisis, practicing a "big food" concept, exploring and promoting alternative protein foods has profound significance for the sustainable development of the food industry and human society. This dataset aims to reveal the attitudes and consumption intention of consumers towards alternative protein foods in China. Based on three online data surveys, the dataset covers information on consumers' attitudes and willingness to consume artificial meat, their consumption behavior towards edible insects, as well as their acceptance and preferences for insect-based foods in multiple dimensions. Through the analysis of this dataset, it is hoped to provide market insights for producers of alternative protein foods and decision support for policymakers.
