Regional Parks Boundaries (Open Data)

This feature class displays, labels, and classifies boundaries of all Metro Vancouver Regional Parks, Ecological Conservancy Areas and Regional Park Reserves. Regional Greenways are managed under a separate feature class. The Metro Vancouver Regional Parks boundary file represents the legal interests for Metro Vancouver Regional Parks, Ecological Conservancy Areas and Regional Park Reserves park classifications. Regional Greenway routes are available under separate feature class. Metro Vancouver has tenure in all the lands contained within these polygons. The majority of the interests are parcel-based, however Right-of-Ways and other corridor interests are also included in these boundaries. To the best of our ability, corridors are represented in their precise legal extents. Undeveloped road allowances are merged into these polygons, while developed roads are excluded and often bisect the parks. Parcel polygons are constructed using the ParcelMap BC cadastre.
