Clonal analysis of the NS3 protease in 14 non-SVR patients.

Clonal analysis of the protease domain of NS3 in selected patients. Ten clones from the pre- and the post-treatment samples were analyzed and the changes that appeared in the post-treatment sample are depicted in the table. The percentage of clones containing the specified change is indicated in parenthesis. Only changes present in more than 1 clone were taken into account, except for patient 19, where the resistance variant V55A is represented even though there was only 1 clone out of 10 that contained the change.
