Extraction of Local Variables from Condition Expressions: An Empirical Study in Open-Source Java Projects

This replication package accompanies the study on Extract Local Variable Refactorings on Condition Expressions in Open-Source Java Projects. It includes datasets, annotated condition snippets, a training set for feature analysis, and evaluation data for the ConExtractor prototype. These resources support replication of the feature mining process, classification experiments, and prototype evaluation using real-world open-source Java code. A structured prompt used in fallback analysis with ChatGPT is also provided.
