Southern elephant seal moult wallow sites in the Vestfold Hills

This GIS dataset includes:Point and polygon data representing southern elephant seal moult sites in the Vestfold Hills.The data are based on previous publications and field work and research by John van den Hoff, AAD biologist, from 2007 onward.The three sites on Hawker Island, two sites on Mule Island and the site at Zappert Point were captured using handheld GPS during John's survey January, February 2007.The other five sites were marked on a map by John after his 2010/11 summer season at Davis. The GPS data was converted from Oziexplorer format to GIS format. The sites were marked on the map were 'eyed in' based on the marked up map.These data are available via the metadata record at the provided URL.
