Akkermansia WON2089, was isolated from the faeces of healthy Japanese adults and is able to use mucin as the sole carbon and nitrogen source. To obtain the whole genome of WON2089, this project was conducted. Bacterial DNA was sequenced via MinION and Miseq by preparing libraries with a Ligation Sequencing kit (Oxford Nanopore Technologies, U.S.A.) and Nextera DNA Flex Library Prep Kit (Illumina, U.S.A.) respectively.
