16S Sequencing Gut Microbiota Lung Transplant

Previous studies have shown that the gut microbiota and its metabolites are associated with the success of organ transplantation. However, the specific changes in the gut microbiota of lung transplant patients remain unclear. Hence, this study aimed to elucidate the interplay between the gut microbiota and lung transplantation outcomes. Using 16S metagenomics sequencing, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of gut microbial alterations among no lung transplant (NT), lung transplant event-free (EF), and lung transplant chronic rejection (CR) end-stage lung disease patients.
