Study sites The experiment was done south and north of the Power line ROW, south of forest fragment and north of ditch, which was located in the south side of the study area (Figure 1). The sampling at the three study sites were done to see the difference in height and diversity of plants at each site and to take into account other factors that could affect plant abundance and growth near the power lines. Variables The study site was sampled for a period of three days (one day in September and 2 days in October), 3 hours each day. The variables of the study were height of plants near power line ROW in bidirectional (North and South), density and diversity of plants near ditch, forest fragment and power line Row. The soil moisture contents as well ground temperature was monitored throughout the study period. Weather condition and air temperature was recorded constantly after each quadrat was sampled. The ground and air temperature was because the weather condition was in rapid change during study period.
