Rapid, Greener and One-pot Four Component Synthesis of 1, 4-Dihydropyridine Derivatives

In this current research framework, an efficient greener synthesis has been developed for new pyridine derivatives using one-pot four-component reaction. We have synthesized a new series of 1,4-dihydropyridine derivatives in excellent yield <i>via</i> telescopic multicomponent reaction among the aldehyde, malononitrile, anilines and diethyl acetylenedicarboxylate in the presence of piperidine at mild reaction condition without further purification. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by ¹H NMR, ¹³C NMR, FT-IR and mass spectrometry analysis.
