Microbial community diveristies of soil receiving long-term nitrogen application

We established microcosms to thoroughly investigate into the impact of long-term N fertilization and straw addition on SOM mineralization, straw decomposition, and soil bacterial and fungal communities at different stages of straw decomposition. Our research helps to get more in-depth knowledge about how long-term nitrogen application affects microorganisms' assemblages and subsequently changes their response patterns to organic matter input remains unexplored, which is essential for improving our understanding of priming effect in agricultural soils receiving ever-increasing N input.
