Data and code for: Nitrogen in excess, potassium in deficit: stoichiometric N–P–K imbalance in the world's croplands and its environmental consequences, 1961–2022
收藏资源简介:
Derived data and Python code supporting the review article "Nitrogen in excess, potassium in deficit: stoichiometric N–P–K imbalance in the world's croplands and its environmental consequences, 1961–2022" (M.G. Asghar, submitted to Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment). The package contains country-level nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium balances, use efficiencies and typology classes for 195 countries (2018–2022 means), regional series for 1961–2022, trend, transition, decomposition and concentration results, panel regression outputs, Monte Carlo robustness tests, the 2021–2022 fertilizer shock dataset, and the scripts that reproduce every figure, table and model in the article. Source data: FAOSTAT Cropland Nutrient Budget (ESB, release 27 Nov 2024), Fertilizers by Nutrient (RFN, 11 Mar 2025) and Land Use (RL, 20 Jun 2025), read from the public mirror https://github.com/open-numbers/ddf--unfao--faostat (commit ba0efde). Country boundaries: Natural Earth. See README.md inside the archive for file descriptions and run order.
