COMPARATIVE LEXICOGRAPHIC INTERPRETATION OF PEDAGOGICAL TERMS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK DICTIONARIES

This dissertation investigates the typological and lexicographic characteristics of pedagogical terms in English and Uzbek. The study applies comparative and descriptive methods to analyze commonly used educational terminology from both general and specialized dictionaries. Special attention is given to the semantic structure, definition patterns, and cross-linguistic equivalence of pedagogical terms. The research highlights the similarities and differences between English and Uzbek terminologies, emphasizing the challenges in translation, standardization, and lexicographic representation. The findings demonstrate the importance of developing modern bilingual dictionaries and electronic terminological databases to facilitate academic communication, improve translation practices, and support knowledge exchange in the field of education.
