Database Diary Study on Food Waste in Swiss Households - Additional Data (A)

This database complements version 1 of the Diary Study on Food Waste in Swiss Households (food waste amounts of 14 food categories in gram per capita per week, information about individual and household characteristics, perceived health risk and plate clearing tendencies) and provides additional data on food waste amounts of 61 food products in gram per capita per week, food waste causes, disposal routes, and barriers to food waste reduction. In addition, the database includes optional qualitative responses reflecting participants’ perspectives on food waste prevention strategies. The data were collected from 515 households across Switzerland. The sample covers households from German-, French-, and Italian-speaking regions of Switzerland. All data in the database were translated into English.
